Join Ayesha Williams, The Laundromat Project’s Director of Strategic Partnerships, for a conversation about IMAGINING MORE and the intersection between ART + SOCIAL CHANGE. An IDEA PARTY will follow. Please bring a pen or pencil + paper.
The Laundromat Project brings art, artists, and arts programming into laundromats and other everyday spaces, thus amplifying the creativity that already exists within communities to build community networks, solve problems, and enhance our sense of ownership in the places where we live, work, and grow.
The Laundromat Project envisions a world in which artists are understood as valuable assets in every community and everyday people know the power of their own creative capacity to transform their lives, their relationships, and their surroundings. While the Laundromat Project works citywide, their work is mostly deeply anchored in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Harlem, and Hunts Point.
