Design Thinking is a creative methodology used as an approach for innovation. It is an iterative process that follows five steps: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test. In this interactive crash course participants will work together on a ‘design challenge’ that takes them through the entire process.
About the workshop facilitator Holly L. Blondin
Holly returns to LIU Brooklyn Center for Entrepreneurship + Innovation for the second year to teach Design Thinking, Ideation, Storytelling, and Futures Strategy. A former New Yorker, Holly now resides in Barcelona, and teaches students internationally. Blondin is an Adjunct Professor in the online program at Parsons the New School for Design (NYC), MS Strategic Design and Management Program, and also teaches Design Thinking intensives for business organizations with Parsons Paris. Holly has a diverse professional background in both the arts and business worlds working primarily with creative professionals and entrepreneurs. With an acute understanding of the challenges that both entrepreneurs and creative professionals face, she is dedicated to strengthening the relationship between creativity and business.
