eSports vs Traditional Sports

LIU Sports Management and Computer Science clubs are bringing a special esports panel to the Entrepreneurship Center. This panel will feature esports executives and traditional sports executives for a unique discussion about competition in the two industries.

The panel will compare the two industries and address how the ecosystems can work together to expand over time. Recent notable deals such as Team EnVyUs’s $35 million acquisition and Madison Square Garden’s acquisition of Counter Logic Gaming, LIU Sports Management and Computer Science clubs want to show that New York City and the broader Northeast have a bright future in esports and we are just getting started.
